Our School’s Ministry is focused on making a difference through Student Growth Centers, tutoring and mentorship, and care initiatives. Here’s how we structure this ministry to serve our local schools effectively.

What Are Student Growth Centers?

Student Growth Centers (SGCs) are safe, welcoming spaces for students to go before, during, and after school. These centers are designed to foster a sense of belonging while meeting practical needs. Built and maintained by church volunteers, SGCs offer students:

  • A place to relax and play games.

  • Access to tutoring and academic resources.

  • Support for personal and social development.

By providing a positive environment, SGCs empower students to thrive both academically and emotionally.

Tutoring and Mentorship

 Tutoring and mentorship are key components of the Schools Ministry, ensuring students have someone who believes in them and supports their growth. This team not only helps students with academics but also provides encouragement, guidance, and reassurance.

Why Tutoring and Mentorship Matter:

Team Structure 

The School’s Ministry is organized into four leadership levels to ensure clarity and efficiency:

  • School Director: Sets the vision and oversees the entire ministry, fostering relationships with community partners and providing clear objectives for the team.

  • School-Specific Coaches: Train and disciple tutors and mentors while building relationships with school personnel to address needs and grow the team.

  • School-Specific Leads: Assist coaches with training, communication, and team-building tasks.

  • Care Coaches: Equip and train volunteers to support school staff through care initiatives, organizing events, and fostering relationships.

  • Care Leads: Assist care coaches in their responsibilities.

  • Volunteer Coordinator: Acts as the first point of contact for new volunteers, ensuring a welcoming experience and guiding them through training and team integration.

This structure ensures every volunteer is supported and equipped to make a meaningful impact.
